Nothing is more important to us than the well being of our guests and our team! In efforts to help provide a safe environment for everyone these are some of the changes we have made at our studio. We are passionate about providing a welcoming, safe space for everyone to celebrate and share experiences. Due to private events we may close the studio to walk-ins for a couple hours. Imagination Station will be OPEN on Tuesday, July 4 from 10am-5pm. Monday- Friday you are welcome to stop by at any time during our regular business hours to paint ceramics or canvas no reservation needed! Saturdays we recommend you call head to double check what times we have available for walk-ins. We offer art classes, paint nights and a variety of events in order to inspire and enhance everyone’s creative spark and spirit. One of the keys to motivating young children is to make learning fun.Our talented staff works extremely hard to help cultivate the inner artist in all of our students and guests who come into our art studio. Here are a few ideas to try: I especially love how creative they can be when making and adding props to each imagination center. Research shows that children use a much higher level of vocabulary when they are acting out roles. For example, when the children act out a restaurant scene, they read menus, write down orders, add up costs and communicate with each other. Just like in the real world, our pretend play tasks require us to draw on reading, writing, math and science skills. The imagination stations we create throughout the year incorporate numerous objectives from the kindergarten curriculum. Pretend play learning is all about relating to other people, so I encourage the children to really focus their minds and imaginations as they take on the roles of others. In my classroom I call the dramatic play area our Imagination Station. With Halloween just around the corner and on the mind of every kindergartner, it’s a perfect time to decorate a new play center. Like many kindergarten teachers, I like to set up dramatic play centers around the classroom to tie into holidays, seasons or other things we’re learning about.
